Welcome to the Lotus family, Pam!

Lotus Creations is pleased to welcome our very first intern, Pam Wang.  She comes to us as a recent graduate from Oberlin College in Ohio by way of Sichuan, China.  After her first session with our Kids Beginner Hip-Hop class, we asked her why she chose to study dance instead of biology like she had planned.  This was her answer:

" I became interested in dance in college because I saw it as a way for me to express myself, similar to when we express ourselves through writing, drawing, and singing. We perform in our daily interactions with people all the time. Later dance also became an important way for me to connect to other people.  I realized the most fun I have when dancing is when I am connected to the people that I dance with and when we dance for each other."

Pam is performing this upcoming July 12 at 5:00 pm at the Whitney Museum in a piece called "The Red Detachment."  Make sure to show her your support and watch as she connects with her fellow dancers.  We're happy to have her on our team working to give anyone and everyone the opportunity to dance.  So join us as we give her a warm welcome.

Welcome, Pam!
